These several days of December Daily is filled with “supposed to be”. Weather and sickness got in the way of a few of our plans, but they didn’t get in the way of me finding a story to tell! This is real life at it’s most real. And that is one of the things I love about this project!
Thursdays are piano lesson days. And I had every intention of documenting my youngest’s lesson. Until his older brother called feeling sick and we had to turn around and go back home. In my head I was thinking, BUT I already have a cute music themed spread going! So I just went with it. And took pics of my son practicing piano at home. And I LOVE how it turned out!
Today had two stories. So I divided the spread with a 3 x 8 page. That allowed me to give both stories full time. One is about my oldest singing at Union Station with his choir. The other is about a cookie exchange I had with my friends. Both were wonderful and deserved their time in the lime light. 🙂 Weather almost got in the way of these stories, but I toughed it out and braved the snow and ice.
Today was supposed to be a day of basketball, soccer and shopping for the boys. And a day of the Nutcracker for Mommy. Instead it was a day of jammies, TV, reading, games, falling on the ice (ouch!), lots of cookies, and pretty snow. Not the day we had planned, but a lovely one nonetheless. Well…except for the falling on ice. That wasn’t pretty at all!
The fact that my husband was able to wait until Sunday to see Rogue One was in itself a miracle. Only icy roads could have held him back. But we loved having a family movie date (minus one child that isn’t much of a movie fan). And if you haven’t seen it yet, let me tell you, it’s good!
To include the movie poster I simply googled “Rogue One movie poster” and downloaded one of the images. Easy peasy!
Today was pretty uneventful so I took the opportunity to document one of my regular routines. Aqua jogging with my friend. We go 3 times a week and it’s exercise and therapy all in one. Love that time we share!
