Every summer we attend a family church camp called Reunion. That last several summers my husband and I have directed this week long camp of nearly 150 campers aged birth to 90s. In my role of director I take many, many photos everyday. I was so glad that I took the time to scrapbook a handful of my favorites!
- Design Inspiration: I was inspired by Meghann Andrew’s class Principle Power. In one lesson she talks about the power of balance. I used some of her tips to create this layout!
- Color Inspiration: In this layout I wanted the photos to shine so I used a neutral background and small embellishments. As for the colors I went with nature inspired tones.
I decided to use the empty space in the photo to house my title. I went with woodgrain letter stickers to tie in to the nature in the photos as well as the background paper. I also decided to write my journaling around the block of photos. That allowed me to go without a dedicated journaling block.
To create the photo block I used two full size 4×6 photos and a collection of 2×2 pics. To add to the idea of balance I used nature photos of our church campgrounds for the full size photos. I kept the busy photos small and centered them on the page.
Family church camp is one of our favorite things to do every summer. I am so glad I was able to document a handful of our favorite photos from last summer!
