I have continued my pattern of taking photos during the week and saving the documenting for the weekend. The blogging, however, has fallen a bit farther behind. 😉 Tis the season for too much to do!
December Daily 2015
We had an unseasonably warm day so it seemed like the perfect time to hang lights on the house. My husband is not a fan of this task so I usually do it myself, but this year my oldest son stepped up to help out. And I even took a deep breath and let him go up the ladder. He’s got this job from now on!
My husband and I had a date night with my cousin and his wife. We saw Mockingjay, had great dinner and great conversation. It was a much needed night out!
It was my son’s first band and choir concert tonight. I was so impressed with the quality of the music program at my son’s school! And I’m loving watching him learn to play trombone!
It was a regular day in our house, filled with homework. Studying for a science test and practicing multiplication flash cards. A bit of the every day in our December.
We headed over to Nana’s house to help her decorate for the holidays. It’s so nice to have two boys that are able to haul boxes up and down the stairs!
I didn’t take any pictures on Day 10, but there are some days in week 3 where I had double events. So I’m going to put our letters to Santa (which happened on Day 13) to the day 10 spot. It all counts!
My mom bought our family tickets to go see Doc Severinsen with the Kansas City Symphony. Since my oldest is now playing trombone she thought he’d enjoy seeing a professional trumpet player. And boy did he! As did the rest of us!
We signed up with some friends to ring the Salvation Army bell for about an hour. We caroled the entire time. I loved sharing this moment with my boys.
Our children put on the worship this morning complete with a Christmas play. And my two boys were the stars of the show. I loved every minute of watching them play their parts!
