Are you looking for scrapbook layout ideas? Today I’m sharing a layout about the weather. I live in the midwest. Which means that the weather changes…about every other minute. So when a beautiful day comes along in February you take advantage! And you take pictures! And then, if you’re me, you scrapbook them.
- Design Inspiration: I got this idea from “Super Simple Scrapbook Challenges” with Stacy Julian and Darci Dowdle. The challenge was to build a background out of strips of patterned paper. It was a fun challenge, and a fun way to use up lots of scraps!
- Color Inspiration: I pulled paper scraps in colors from my photos. I really enjoyed searching through all my papers and finding a variety of tone on tone scraps.
To help the photos stand out from the background I used a large white mat. It also held my journaling and a place for the title. But I didn’t want the photo/journaling block to look like it was floating, so I used some word strips to give the photo block a bit of an anchor.
The white block also provided the perfect spot to add in some journaling. Once again, I just love documenting these every day life stories. Even something as simple as the weather!
