  • Scrap Your Stash: Use Those Embellishment Sets Paper Scraps! http://wp.me/p4nAhc-2ms #scrapbookingDesign Inspiration: When I saw this layout by Cindy Tobey I was drawn to all the triangles. It reminded me of a set of cardstock diamond embellishments I had. So I decided to frame my photo with diamonds similarly to how Cindy used triangles in her layout.
  • Color Inspiration: I knew I wanted to tell the story of my husband’s obsession with super hero t-shirts so I went with super hero colors on my layout.

I started the design by laying out the diamonds I had. Then I traced the shape onto some pieces of patterned paper to add more diamonds as well as color to my layout. I also traced the shape onto a couple of Project Life journaling cards. To add a bit of dimension I decided to use pop dots on a few of the diamond shapes. I also backed the diamonds with patterned paper so that the cut outs would really shine.

It took a bit of playing around to get it all looking cohesive, but I love the end result!

I finished by adding my title and journaling as well as a few enamel shapes to bring a touch more interest to a few of the blank diamonds.

My husband is not seen quite as often in my scrapbooks simply because I don’t have as many every day life photos of him. So I loved that I could finally scrap a story that spoke to who he is right now. Because he truly is my own personal super hero!

Thanks for stopping by Scrap Inspired! Next up on the hop is Kristy! I’ve included a complete list of blog hop participants below in case you get lost along the way!

Wonderful way to use the inspiration! I love the paper choices (absolutely perfect for a super hero) as well as how you backed the die cuts with paper and angled your title! I’m inspired! TFS!
