  • Design InsScrap Your Stash: Use Those Paper Scraps! #scrapbookingpiration: I loved the layers of paper in this adorable layout by NicoleS. I used similar design for paper and photo placement, and yet my layout looks quite different. Love how that happens!
  • Color Inspiration: I used the colors of my son’s hat to inspire the colors of the layout. Add in a bit of green and I had a color palette I loved!

With the exception of the red background paper, all of my papers came out of my scrap drawer. I love pulling together pattern paper groupings to accent my layout! To keep things cohesive I try to incorporate all the colors in each grouping.

The cherish paper strip had a list of numbers on it. Since it went with my colors I thought it would look nice in another embellishment cluster. I highlighted the 7 because that is how old my son is in the picture.

I just didn’t want to forget the time my little one named his hat Floppy. 🙂 And this picture was too good not to use! There’s just nothing like scrapbooking an everyday life story!

Thanks for stopping by Scrap Inspired! Next up on the hop is Kristy! I’ve included a complete list of blog hop participants below in case you get lost along the way!

Your son will enjoy looking at this when he is grown and looking back at his childhood (or his kids will want to see it). Darling layout.

He already enjoys looking back at old scrapbooks. Last night he spent 20 minutes reading my layouts for his homework read time. Totally counts! 🙂

Love how you make a simple page look so fabulous, it never feels under-done, it just feels, right. There’s a lot to be said for good design! Cute story and photo too.
