December Daily 2014 {The Plan}

If you’ve been around here much lately you’ll know that there hasn’t been much going on around here lately. I just haven’t been inspired to create. And honestly, I’m ok with that. But December Daily is one of my favorite projects I do all year. And I couldn’t just let that go because I’m feeling less than creative.

So I’m going to try to get back into the swing of things with December Daily. And for me it all starts with a plan.

Have you seen the Project Life app? I am in love with that thing!

And I plan to use it for all of my 2015 Project Life. So I thought to myself why can’t I use it for my December Daily as well? I can!

The app has all the sizes that I want and the ability to make collages. I can save the final images to my phone and download them to my computer to either print at home or through a service like Persnickety Prints. But I wanted a little bit more versatility when it came to design.

There are lots of cute Christmas cards out there for pocket scrapbooking. I found a few that I loved, and started looking for ways to include those in my December Daily using the Project Life app.

You can use JPEG and PNG files in the Project Life app you just have to think of them as photos rather than journaling cards. All I did was download a few digi kits, put them in Dropbox, and then transfer them to my phone. Then whenever I want to use a particular card I just save it from the Dropbox app to my Photos, and it’s ready to use in the Project Life app!

But what if you want to write on those cards? I have an answer for that too.

Just upload the card you want to add writing to into the Rhonna Designs app. You can add any kind of text, or stickers, or word art, and then save it to your photos and use it in the Project Life app. Now I can easily document each day in December, save it to my phone, and upload it to my computer later for printing. If I’m feeling particularly creative one day I just printed out and I can add my own embellishments otherwise I can keep everything digital and print the images at the end of the month.

I’m really excited to give an iPhone approach to my December Daily. I can’t wait to see how it all turns out.
