I have an adorable niece that needed some princess art for her walls. So for Christmas I made her some princess canvases fit for my favorite little princess!
I just love Square1 printables! They make it so much easier to create amazing art.
I began by painting a 12×12 canvas blue and green. I just used a simple dry brush with craft paint to create the grass and sky.
I printed the castle in two parts, the bottom and then the turrets on a second page. You may notice that my castle is wider than the original image. I used Photoshop Elements to duplicate parts of the castle image to make it wider.
Once I had my pieces printed I peeled off the backing and stuck it to my painted canvas.
I love the way the castle turned out!
To finish off my princess art I wanted to surround the castle with some…well, princesses! I painted four 6×6 canvases as the backgrounds for the lovely princesses.
I trimmed around each princess to prepare her for her new home.
Say hello to Cinderella…
Ariel and Flounder…
…and Belle with little Chip.
I have to admit, I almost wish I was a little girl again so I can hang these in my room. But I love that I was able to give my sweet niece such a fun gift!
A few canvases, paint and some Square1 printable and you too can have some adorable art for your walls!
