December Daily 2013 {Days 1-3}

December has rushed in full of crazy busyness. But that hasn’t stopped me from documenting our life! So I’m here to share our December so far!

Day 1:

December Daily Ideas: Document a holiday movie | http://scrapinspired.com/2013/12/december-daily-2013-days-1-3/

We started out the month by seeing a movie together. Watching Frozen was the perfect way to kick off December!

Want to know a secret? When I took this photo the movie poster was all blown out. But with the magic of Photoshop I was able to add it back in. 🙂 Love that!

Here’s to a day 1 of fun!

To look a bit more “frozen” like I added some clear sequins to the date card. I thought it gave the look of snow. Then I added a snowflake sticker to the center of my journaling card.

And in case you didn’t pick out the name of the movie on the large photo I added it again here.

Day 2:

December Daily Ideas: Document decorating the tree | http://scrapinspired.com/2013/12/december-daily-2013-days-1-3/

Ok, it’s the day for secrets. These photos weren’t actually taken on December 2nd. We decorated on Saturday, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to put it in my DD.

And since Monday was a bit ordinary it was the perfect day to toss in a bit of tree decorating!

To spice up the journaling tag a bit I added a sticker and drew a border around the card.

This go around I didn’t use any fancy templates, just a simple 5 photo template would do.

And of course, I had to include the full photo of this beauty. 😉

Day 3:

December Daily Ideas: Document a visit to the doctor | http://scrapinspired.com/2013/12/december-daily-2013-days-1-3/

And so it begins…the season of sickness. Thankfully this go around it was only strep!

The prompt for Picture the Holidays at BPC was to get grounded. I thought this picture of my son’s shoes at the doctor’s office was a perfect representation of where we stood on this day!

I LOVE the see through nature of this date card. That wood veneer chevron is amazing!

So I wasn’t paying enough attention to where this photo was going (that’s what I get for working so late at night). I printed up a 4×6 only to discover that this day had two 3×4 pockets. Oops! Oh well,  I just cut the photo in half and went with it. 😉

And yes…sometimes the doctor’s office feels like our holiday home!

It’s fun for me to find a way to add a teeny bit of embellishment to each day’s journal card. Fancies things up just enough to make me happy!

And Now For a Giveaway!!

I’ve got one seat for the Big Picture Class December Duos! If you are working to document your December this class would be the perfect way to do it!

About the Class

The “December Duos” concept is easy, stress-free, and inspiring. Every day for the twelve days leading up to Christmas Day, two of our twelve instructors will share a scrapbook layout, video message, and a page prompt in the form of a duo (“warm & cold,” “give & receive,” “near & far”). That’s a total of two-dozen inspiring ideas!

You can follow the instructor’s lead or march in your own direction as you snap your photos for the day. Then, after printing our fabulously free journaling cards and title cards, you’ll either slip the cards and your photos into a Project Life mini album from American Crafts or use them on a traditional (or digital) scrapbook page.

12 Days of Christmas: December Duos makes it easy to capture all of your most important holiday moments—in a festive new format—while keeping up with all the parties, presents, and pageants that make the holiday season magical.

Great pages and a great start to your December minus the sick son. I hope he gets better soon. I plan on working on my stuff at the end of the week. I have been doing little things here and there but actually putting stuff into the album will most likely happen on Sunday for me 🙂 I hope your son gets over his strep soon.
