Most of the time I stick to two pages in my Project Life spreads. But every once and awhile I have some special events that deserve to be highlighted in my Project Life. During this two week spread we had the 4th of July as well as my oldest son’s baptism. To give each event it’s own space I used two inserts!
One thing I try to keep in mind when including inserts is to make them different sizes. By adding a tab to the side of each insert it highlights the fact that there are additional pages.
I had fun creating the title block for the 4th of July insert. A bit of washi tape, some stars, and letter stickers created a festive title for my insert. I filled the rest of the pockets with photos.
On the back side I added a few more photos and used a digital template to create the 4×6 photo plus journaling block.
For my son’s baptism I used a much smaller insert. It’s actually the bottom half of a We R Memory Keepers divided page protector. I just cut off the top side and used the bottom which holds 4×6 portrait photos. With a little bit of washi tape embellishment on the grid card I had a lovely spot for journaling.
On the back I included photos from the day with a few letter stickers to add some details.
The rest of the spread has more traditional photos of our week. Including a fun trip to visit Daddy at church camp.
I absolutely adore the photos of my son at the top of this spread. I discovered a whole series of silly faces on my iPhone and just had to print them out. I also had some fun with letter stickers on the photo of my sister and I having a movie marathon.
