Welcome, FINALLY, to my One Little Word for 2013. 🙂 I chose my word back in October, and I’ve lived with it and let it guide me ever since. It just took me awhile to get the prompts done for the OLW class. But that’s ok, cause I’m caught up and ready to share. My word for 2013 is…
I started with the January prompt and created cards setting some intentions for 2013. I didn’t let it bother me that we are already almost 1/4 of the way done with the year. I just wrote down my intentions as I see them right now.
Here is the front side of January’s prompt. While yellow seems an obvious color choice for shine, I’ve used yellows and oranges for the past two years and I wanted something different. So while I will still use yellow as an accent I’m going with sky blue as my main color. It reminds me of bright sunshiny days with a gorgeous blue sky! And I loved the idea of using washi on the bottom of the month cards (duh, it’s me!). Had so much fun pulling these cards together.
And here’s a look at the back. I think my favorite card is the bright yellow one. I used some of my favorite washi tapes to create an ombre effect. Turned out so cool! May have to try that out on a scrapbook page!
February’s prompt was to create a vision board. I actually made one back in January to hang in my office. It’s a collection of photos that represent some of my goals for the year. I have it hanging above my desk so I can look at it often. But I also made a digital version to use as the desktop for my computer. So I simply printed that out to include in my OLW album. I still had one 4×6 pocket protector left from last year, so this was the perfect place to use it.
Here’s a closer look at some of the things I’m inviting into my life this year.
On the back side I did a bit of reflecting on my vision board and what it means to me.
The page underneath is my take on the March prompt. This past month was all about striving for balance. Get the work done that I need to while still finding time to enjoy my family. There is always more work that could be done, but that doesn’t mean I have to spend every minute at the computer. Have a feeling this will be a life long goal. 🙂
And on the back I included the reflection sheet for the intentions I set for the year. Just a few updates on how I’m doing and what actions I’ve taken toward those goals.
Are you OLWing it this year? What’s your word, and how is it going?
