OLW Blog Hop 2012 {October}

Welcome to another installation of the One Little Word blog hop! If you hopped here from Margie’s blog you are in the right place! I’m Monica and this is Scrap Inspired, feel free to stop and stay awhile! Or if you are interested to learn more about what goes on around here you can sign up for some inspiration in your inbox (including a FREE pdf with 40 sources of inspiration you never thought of!)

This month we revisited a photo prompt from February. I loved scrolling through my photos looking for ones that spoke to me of my word trust.

I’ve got a little confession to make. Trust and I haven’t been talking much lately. Somehow my doubts and fears started to overshadow my level of trust in myself, in God, in this path I’ve chosen. A quote a friend posted on facebook really hit home with me…

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
― Marianne Williamson

So powerful! I really needed to hear that message. I’ve been afraid of success as much, or more, than I fear failure. It’s time to let trust take the lead again!

It’s time to remember my mantra!

When I look back over the last few months there are so many examples of trust…of life being exactly what it’s meant to be! I just need to remember to notice those moments and let them shine!

There’s lots of good stuff going on there! Trust has been just what I’ve needed this year!

Thanks for stopping by Scrap Inspired and sharing in my OLW journey! Your next stop on the blog hop is Cheri! If you get lost along the way I’ve included the entire list below!
