Tons of Pumpkin Fun {Take Twelve}

I got a little behind this month. My twelve photos were actually taken on the 16th! But I’m not too worried about little things like that! I’ve got a fun day documented and that is all that matters! 🙂

  • Design Inspiration: I wanted to house my photos on a tall strip of pattern paper. From there I just played around with elements until I had a design I liked.
  • Color Inspiration: When I saw this layout by April Foster I was immediately drawn to the wood tones with blue. I knew this color combo would work well for my pumpkin patch layout!

As you may have noticed from previous Take Twelve layouts, I’m a big fan of 4×6 photo templates when I want to document a ton of pictures…12 of them for instance! This time I used the same template (linked below) two times. I loved the way the larger squares were offset by the smaller ones. Just makes me happy!

I wanted the title block to have a variety of layers and textures. I’ve got paper, a transparency, ribbon, labels, border punch, flair button, letter stickers and even stamps. I love the subtle detail the stamping gives! I stamped the word October very lightly over and over on the blue striped paper. To achieve this look I inked my stamp and then stamped it on scratch paper before stamping it on the blue paper. That made the repeated word very subtle. Then a few times I stamped with the full amount of ink, rather than stamping off first, to make a few of the words darker. Love how it turned out! I used the same stamping off technique for the arrows on the title block. It creates a super subtle layer that just adds a bit of extra fun!

With a bit of journaling my layout was complete! Have you been taking part in Take Twelve? It’s not too late to start! You will never regret documenting your memories!

    I love the collages you’ve created with the photos, what an ingenious way to tell a story. And that transparency is drool-worthy! Gorgeous page.
