Welcome to this months installment of the One Little Word blog hop! Want to see past OLW posts? Visit here. If you have hopped here from Jenn’s blog you are in the right place! If you joined the hop here you can either start at the beginningor just continue to hop along and work your way back to me.
This month our One Little Word assignment was to gather pictures that somehow represented our word. My word this year is trust. I have to admit that I didn’t really think about taking special pictures of my word. I just went through the month taking pictures as normal. Then when it came time to put together my project I scrolled through my images and chose ones that spoke trust to me.
I began with a photo my son took of me at my computer. A large reason I chose the word trust is that I’m trying to turn my blogs into a business. I have a lot of fear around that and worry a lot about not knowing what I’m doing. 🙂 I want to trust that things will happen as they should, when they should. But the reality is part of making it all work involves me spending time on my computer.
My second image is a collage of the header for this blog. Scrap Inspired is a large part of my journey this year.
The third image is of a scrapbook page I created recently. I used techniques that were new to me (doodling and painting) and wrote about how my life goes from rain to rainbows and back again. In other words, in any given day I have lots of highs and lows. It’s part of my reality and I know that as I continue on this journey of trust it will continue to be my life.
The next image is another collage. This time it’s the header for my other blog ChildhoodSpirituality.com.
Then I moved to a recent picture of me standing in the snow. I may not know exactly where all this is headed, but wherever I’m going it’s going to involve color and style! 🙂 Ha!
The last picture in this row represents my strong desire to balance this blog/business and family. The WHOLE reason I want to do this is to be able to do something I love while still being flexible and available to my boys. It’s my hope that I can be a stay/work at home mom as long as my boys live at home. Big goal! Hope I can make it work!
Then I added a photo of my boys digging for buried treasure. I love the sense of magic and faith my boys have that if you dig, you will find treasure! I hope I can capture that same sense of faith in my adventure.
I included a picture of my husband because I always need to work on trusting others, especially my partner in this life. I can’t do it all myself, and I need to nurture my faith and trust in him!
And I finished with a shot of a recent scrapbook page. I loved how it says “having fun!” That is my ultimate goal, to have fun through it all!
Thanks for sticking it out and reading this super long post! 🙂 Now for the rest of the hop! Your next stop is Catherine. I’ve posted all the links below in case you get lost along the way!
