Ever since my husband decided to buy a new car I’ve been thinking about the cars I have had. Going through old photos I found pictures of most of them and knew it was time to make a layout!
- Design Inspiration: I loved how this layout lined up a the photos in a strip down the side of the page. Seemed like a wonderful way to document my 4 cars.
- Color Inspiration: I really wanted to use some of the arrows from this paper by Sassafras Lass. So I searched through my stash for embellishments that would coordinate.
While digging through my embellishments I found quite a few travel themed ones that fit perfectly. To create this embellishment cluster I used tips I got from Noell Hyman’s True Scrap class. (which by the way you can get 30% off a class from the first True Scrap just by signing up to be on the mailing list. Seriously good deal!! Click here to view more details). And seriously cute little cluster, if I do say so myself. 🙂
For each car I documented the type of car, some thoughts about it, and the years I owned it. A couple of interesting tidbits…I didn’t have a photo of my Toyota Camry so I googled for an image and found one that looked exactly like mine. So awesome! Also, my Saab photo had my friends hanging out the sun roof. Since none of the other photos had people I simply Photoshopped them out. 🙂
So glad I took the time to document the cars I drove as a teen/young adult. I know I will enjoy looking back on this page as the years go by!
