I had so much fun participating in Ella Publishing Co.’s Take Twelve photography and scrapbooking challenge. For January I decided to take a photo each hour. I began at 9 AM and took one every hour (or close to) until 8 PM. It was the first snow day of the year so I got to include both boys in my photos. Here are the 12 I chose to use for my layout.

•  Design Inspiration: I used one of the sketches from Ella’s Take Twelve Guided Inspiration Kit. It’s been awhile since I made a 2 pager!
• Color Inspiration: The first paper I selected was the yellow number paper. I built the rest of my color palette from there.

Each photo is sized 3×4. Since I only had one sheet of the pattern paper I decided to use it in the middle of the layout. However, I did not want to waste 6 inches of paper behind those pics. So I cut two 3.5×12 in strips, cut them in half and attached to the cardstock.

To create the title I found some large chipboard letters and spelled Jan. I tried to use some white rub-ons (see the one above the Jan) but they just didn’t show up. So I found some black stickers to use instead. Just put them right on top of my mess up. Can hardly even see it!

To create a visual triangle I used three clocks in varying sizes. I added some embellishments to each one for a little color. On this one I added the date as well.

To attach each of the clock transparencies I used a bit of Glossy Accents. It’s an excellent adhesive and it dries clear.

For the journaling I stamped each hour I documented. Then I wrote a general description of what we were doing. And with that I had a scrapbook page full of everyday life moments!
