December Daily {Days 15-19}

Even though I’ve not been very good about posting, I have been keeping up with my December Daily! So here’s a whole mess of days all at once. 🙂

Thursday {Day 15}

Last Thursday was all about my youngest’s pre-school Christmas program. After 6 years with this school (my boys attended there full time when I was working and we continued with their part time preschool when I started staying home) it was sad to realize this would be our last time attending. Hard to believe how big my boy is getting!

He was all smiles! And I was grinning ear to ear just watching him.

This is one of my pocket pages you haven’t seen. Originally I had the number and the snowmen. The background for the 15 is some leftover shelf liner…totally random but I totally love it! I added in a tag I made with my son’s initial and some tickets.

I really love the variety these pocket pages bring to my December Daily album. So much fun!

I did a bit more stamping on the back of some of the elements in my pocket page.

I figured this topic was the perfect opportunity to break out my new music background stamp. I love how the picture looks framed with the music notes. Just love it!

Friday {Day 16}

Friday the yuck that’s been going around my house hit me so I spent most of the day in bed. But first thing Friday morning I got out and got these cards in the mail! Phew!

I’m having fun switching up the titles on Ali’s templates. And this day can be called nothing but “Finally Done.”

I made myself a little 4×6 photo collage with pics of my Christmas card process. I loved this word art by Ali Edwards because it reminded me of signing a letter.

For decoration on this page I used part of the holiday stamp books. I love how it looks with the repeating element. I also took some of the zigzag lines from between each block of stamps and made three rows across my pattern paper. Recycling at it’s finest! 🙂

Saturday {Day 17}

This is another one of those days where I’m telling a story that doesn’t exactly match the day. Sunday was a VERY busy day, with TWO stories I wanted to tell. So I chose to use Saturday to tell one of those stories. Since Saturday was the day my boys practiced their advent program I decided to go ahead and tell the story that day (even though the photos were taken during the performance on Sunday)

My oldest was one of the three wise men. He rode in on a camel (riding on his Daddy’s shoulders…the camel’s…uh…back end). Once again I altered the title of Ali’s template to match my story.

I kept the embellishments very simple on this page. Some white patterned paper with a few brads.

I typed my journaling right onto my photo using PSE. I just tabbed around the people and kept my text on the background. Super easy and quick layout on a super busy day!

Sunday {Day 18}

Today was our first family celebration. We got together with my Dad’s family for lunch.

I’ve been wanting to use this star template all month. I’ve tried several times and never had photos that would work. Today’s pics aren’t a perfect fit but they were good enough for me! All the little cousins had so much fun making this gingerbread house!

My family is small so we still celebrate with my cousins and their families. All of our kids think of each other as cousins even though they are really some other confusing relation…second cousins? cousins some kind of removed? I just call them FAMILY! 🙂

I was bummed that this text definition paper had family, but it was cut off. So I chose to use wonderful instead…still very fitting! Hard to get 8 kids ranging from 18 months to 10 all looking at the camera at the same time. This was the best shot I got, and I love it!

Monday {Day 19}

Today was full of color! We visited Santa in a Crayola wonderland. Just made my heart happy.

I altered this template of Ali’s by combining a few squares to allow for larger pictures and changing the titles. I wish I could take that crayola tic tac toe board and hang it in my craft room! So awesome!

I just had to take tons of photos of the many crayon displays all around me today!

I printed up these photos at 3.5×5 added a strip of ribbon on each side and dug out some crayon stickers. Then I pulled out a Sharpie and wrote my journaling right on the photo. It really was a FUN day!
