Today we were to capture an image we wanted to remember. To “make a memory.” We celebrated my Mom’s 60th birthday this evening so I felt like the prompt was particularly appropriate. I was all set for some gorgeous shot of Mom with her lovely cake. Then about 2 min prior to the cake festivities, my oldest ran into a wall and split his head open. Nice… So I was doing the ice pack thing and wasn’t able to snap any photos. :( Thankfully I got a few other shots throughout the evening that were definitely things I wanted to remember so I was still able to participate in the prompt.
Mom does not like to have her photo taken so I don’t have very many pics of her smiling with her grandchildren. She smiles regularly but not if she sees a camera coming. :) I caught her this time. I loved how the light was shining on her face. Nothing like a little Nana snuggles!
We have been waiting a long time to welcome my niece and nephew into the world. Whenever they are around they gather crowds of adoring fans.
This is such a classic shot of my youngest. He was coming to tell me it was time for cake and ice cream (just prior to his brother’s big bang).

These are all wonderful!
I do not believe your mom is 60 -doesn't look a day over 29!
Your youngest is adorable! Such a great big smile!
Thanks! She has always looked young. I'm hoping I inherit that gene!
